Location : Haven – Bar, Lounge & Restaurant (Curaçao)

Reports To : Owner / Director of Operations

Position Overview

The General Manager is responsible for the overall success, reputation, and profitability of Haven. This role requires a highly experienced hospitality professional who can deliver exceptional guest experiences, lead a high-performing team, and maintain the highest standards of luxury service.
The GM acts as the face of Haven—ensuring every guest interaction reflects sophistication, attention to detail, and consistency with the brand’s identity.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations across restaurant, bar, and lounge
  • Ensure seamless service flow from opening to closing
  • Maintain strict adherence to SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards
  • Monitor and improve operational efficiency

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Deliver a consistently elevated, personalized guest experience
  • Handle VIP guests, special requests, and complaints with professionalism
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor during service hours
  • Ensure service standards reflect a luxury hospitality environment

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, and retain top-tier talent
  • Lead by example with professionalism, discipline, and energy
  • Conduct regular training sessions and performance evaluations
  • Build a strong, motivated, and accountable team culture

Financial Management

  • Manage budgets, P&L, and cost control
  • Monitor daily revenue, labor costs, and expenses
  • Maximize profitability through strategic decision-making
  • Oversee inventory control and reduce waste

Brand & Concept Execution

  • Uphold Haven’s identity as a premium, stylish destination
  • Ensure ambiance, music, lighting, and presentation meet brand standards
  • Collaborate with marketing on events, promotions, and partnerships
  • Maintain consistency across all guest touchpoints

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with local laws, licensing, and regulations
  • Enforce health and safety standards at all times
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in high-end hospitality or luxury dining
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Manager
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of food & beverage operations
  • Financial acumen (P&L, cost control, forecasting)
  • Experience with upscale or lifestyle-driven concepts preferred
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
