Position Title : Wait Staff / Server

Location : Haven – Bar, Lounge & Restaurant (Curaçao)

Reports To : Floor Manager / General Manager

Role Overview

At Haven, a Server is not just taking orders—they are curating an experience. This role requires polished, detail-oriented professionals who deliver seamless, attentive, and personalized service that reflects the sophistication of the brand. Servers are expected to anticipate guest needs, create memorable moments, and contribute to an elevated, luxury dining atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Provide warm, professional, and personalized service at all times
  • Guide guests through the menu with confidence and knowledge
  • Anticipate needs and exceed expectations without being intrusive
  • Handle special requests, allergies, and dietary preferences with precision
  • Resolve guest concerns gracefully and efficiently

Service Execution

  • Follow Haven’s step-by-step service sequence flawlessly
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
  • Deliver food and drinks with proper presentation and timing
  • Maintain constant awareness of table status and guest satisfaction
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure smooth service flow

Product Knowledge

  • Master full menu knowledge (food, cocktails, wines, spirits)
  • Understand ingredients, preparation methods, and pairings
  • Confidently upsell premium items and signature offerings
  • Stay updated on menu changes, specials, and events

Table & Environment Management

  • Ensure tables are immaculately set and maintained
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
  • Reset tables quickly and to standard
  • Contribute to overall ambiance (lighting awareness, music sensitivity, guest comfort)

Team Collaboration

  • Work seamlessly with hosts, bartenders, runners, and management
  • Support team members during peak service periods
  • Communicate clearly and professionally at all times

Compliance & Standards

  • Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Adhere strictly to Haven’s grooming and uniform standards
  • Maintain professionalism and discretion at all times

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or upscale dining preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Positive attitude with a strong service mindset
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
